KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT
Clear plans. Clear terms.
A lesson begins with a conversation and an agreed offer. Sending an enquiry does not create a booking or require payment.
Your personal lesson offer
Subject availability, topic, lesson length, tutor, price, currency, time zone and video platform are confirmed before you pay. The specific offer explains what is included and its expiry time. Do not pay if the details do not match your agreement.
Preferred times and Calendly appointments
A preferred time submitted with an enquiry is a request for review. Where Calendly booking is available, completing the Calendly process schedules the appointment shown there. Check the event type, duration and time zone carefully. A Calendly appointment does not confirm payment for tuition; the lesson plan, price and payment arrangements are agreed separately. Use the confirmation’s cancellation or rescheduling options for the appointment and contact your tutor about any separate paid lesson offer.
Payment and confirmation
Payment is handled through Stripe. The offer shows the full quoted lesson total, including any applicable tax. A bank or card provider may charge currency conversion fees. When an existing Stripe Payment Link is used, the tutor confirms the payment before the meeting link is made available. Contact your tutor if confirmation does not appear as expected.
Cancellations, rescheduling and refunds
Your offer must set out the applicable notice period, rescheduling options and refund arrangements. Read those terms before payment. If you or the tutor need to change the lesson, contact the other person promptly and agree the outcome. Any rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law continue to apply.
Learning together online
You need an internet connection and access to the agreed video service. Join using the private meeting link and tell your tutor about practical access preferences in advance. Recordings are not included by default. Never share a meeting link publicly.
Academic integrity
Tuition supports understanding, practice and independent work. The service does not sit exams, impersonate students or complete assessed work for submission as a student’s own. Bring only materials you are entitled to use and share.
Parents and guardians
A parent or guardian must make enquiries and agree arrangements for students under 18. The appropriate adult contact and supervision arrangements should be confirmed before the first lesson.
Outcomes and affiliations
Learning progress depends on many factors. No grade, examination score, university admission or other result is guaranteed. The National Tuition Service is independent of schools, universities, examination boards, ACER and AAMC. GAMSAT and MCAT refer to their respective examinations and do not imply endorsement.
Schools and organisations
Group programmes, institutional access and other organisation arrangements are discussed separately. A general enquiry does not activate a subscription or an on-demand tutoring service.
